The Atlanta BeltLine and the areas surrounding it are the most sought after neighborhoods in town. Connecting neighborhoods, drawing thousands, displaying local art, and hosting numerous events a year - it's easy to understand why so many want to be near the trail. These areas are also the most highly valued. In regards to the high home prices on the BeltLine - "The pace with which affordability is declining is much faster than anything else happening in our economy." says BeltLine CEO, Paul Morris. Morris and other city officials recently came together to discuss raising $7.5 million to encourage more affordable housing along the beloved, windy path.
About the Atlanta BeltLine -- it's "the most comprehensive revitalization effort ever undertaken in the City of Atlanta and among the largest, most wide-ranging urban redevelopment and mobility projects currently underway in the United States. This sustainable project is providing a network of public parks, multi-use trails and transit by re-using 22-miles of historic railroad corridors circling downtown and connecting 45 neighborhoods directly to each other."
