Last week a Buckhead business group proposed a potential park that will cap Ga. 400 near Lenox Square and connect a trail network of green space and common areas between office towers and new residential high-rises.
The Buckhead Community Improvement District proposes for a “world-class open space in the heart of Buckhead’s commercial core,” the organization said in a news release.
Thanks to the AJC, we know more about this impressive proposal--"The project would stretch from Atlanta Financial Center on Peachtree Road to the Lenox Road-Ga. 400 interchange. It would essentially cover Ga. 400 and the Buckhead MARTA station, and connect with the PATH 400 trail network."
The park would offer unique areas for different activities, including one called the Commons, the Plaza and the Gardens, and would feature a mature tree canopy. The park would be a place where citizens can come together and enjoy Buckhead in a new setting.
There is much more to develop on this story, and the John Bailey Team will be sure to follow it closely. As a neighboring business in Buckhead that is proud to offer our services in and around the area, we are excited about the potential park and the value it will bring to our clients and neighborhood.
