Summer is upon us and although we can’t wait for days lounging at the pool and evening barbeques with family and friends, there are a few things we should keep in mind to keep our home maintained throughout the next few months! Check out our top five tips for ensuring guests are enjoying your home as much as you do!

       1. HVAC System

When was the last time you had you’re cooling system checked by a service provider? Proper air conditioner maintenance can help your cooling system last longer and prevent fires from happening. Plus, its nice to have cool air during the Georgia heat!

       2. Ceiling fans.

If your home has ceiling fans, you may not know that reversing the direction can determine whether or not each room remains nice and cool. Ceiling fans that spin clockwise push hot air down while having your ceiling fan set to spin counterclockwise can ensure cool air is being circulated. Most fans have a switch near the base that allows that controls the direction flow.

       3. Pressure Washing

Spring time brings new beginnings in everything including pollen that tends to stick to everything including your home. Removing embedded dirt and pollen from the outside of your home not only gives your home a nice curb appeal but it can help prevent family and friends from getting sick.

       4. Outdoor Leaks

Has your water bill recently spiked? It could be due to a leak that you aren’t even aware of. Check indoor/outdoor faucets, water hoses, and any place where water could possibly leak from.

       5. Clean Your Grill

With Summer being the biggest season for barbequing making sure to clean your grill, wipe away dust/residue, and clean out drip trays.
