Buckhead Manor is one of those neighborhoods where people actually know each other. The pool becomes the heartbeat of the neighborhood all summer, golf carts become a perfectly reasonable mode of transportation, the Fourth of July fireworks have absolutely no business being as good as they are, and Halloween is electric. As for the house, you've got approximately 2,500 square feet on over an acre, a white-brick exterior, a big open living room and a primary suite on the main floor. Upstairs are two bedrooms plus a large bonus/flex room. There's also an office, dining space, breakfast area, fenced backyard and two-car garage. You're minutes from Morgan County schools, the recreation department and downtown Madison. This isn't the fanciest house in Madison, and I'm not going to pretend every finish was installed yesterday. It has simply been a genuinely great place to live, raise kids, make friends and call home. I hate to leave it, but somebody else gets it now.
